The summer sales are in full swing on the high streets but this is usually a perfect time for the stores to fill the shelves with the tat that they haven’t been able to flog for the past couple of seasons and the racks sometimes resemble a jumble sale rather than this season’s must have item
This is why online fashion sales come into their own as you can shop from the comfort of your sofa on your laptop, iphone or even ipad to grab a bargain. I myself gave up on rummaging through the dregs left on the rails and spending half hour in the que’s a long time ago and since my favourite mens boutique fashion store the Wardrobe in Cardiff closed it’s doors at the end of last year. I haven’t found anywhere to fill the gap even with the newly built St David’s 2 although 7clothing in Roath does stock a favourite of mine Elvis Jesus.
I’ve become fed up of being one of 10 people out in a club with the same Allsaints t-shirt on and found myself traveling over the bridge into Bristol to stores such as John Anthony, Harvey Nicholls and Garment Quarter to try and find something a bit different. Other than that i tend to stick to online fashion websites with free postage on most orders if you spend over £100 i don’t mind ordering a few different sizes too if i’m not sure and can send them back relatively cheaply considering I would of had to have paid to drive or catch the train to Cardiff to get something in House of Fraser, which is the only half decent store left in Cardiff the Wardrobe decided to close its doors.

Bolo Clothing Sale
Brands such as Bolongaro Trevor the brand set up by the man behind cult highstreet fasion chain Allsaints. Then theres Antony Morato, Barbour, Humor and Religion in the sale
Garment Quarter
I love this store in Bristol, opposite Cabot Circus it has introduced me to a few new designers such as A child of the Jago and Commes des Garcon. They also stock iconic UK fashion designers such as Vivienne Westwood and the late Alexander Mcqueen along with Unconditional and funky Melissa shoes for men and women.
House of Fraser
Department store catering for children, men and ladies fashion, home furnishing, electronics, cosmetics and food stuff. Designer fashion brands such as Label Lab, Diesel, Paul Smith, D&G, Ted Baker, Calvin Klein and Hudson shoes.
Pilot Netclothing
This store has a vast range of designers with casual streetwear brands such as Humor and Adidas Y-3 to mens and ladies fashion brands such as Bolongaro Trevor, Barbour, Elvis Jesus mens and womens, Holland Esquire, Havaianas, Ray Ban, TST footwear and Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Lee.
John Anthony
With stores in Bristol and Bath you can also shop online with brands such as Puma by Alexander Mcqueen, Belstaff jackets, Bolongaro Trevor, Elvis Jesus, Humor, Puma, Paul Smith, Play Commes des Garcon, Vivienne Westwood and hudson shoes
Sa-kis
Some good bargains with Vivienne Westwood bags, wallets and sandals in the sale. Other brands in the sale include Bolongaro Trevor, Billionaire Boys Club, Diesel Black Gold, Daniele Alessandrini, Elvis Jesus, Humor and TST footwear.
Spoiled Brat
Theres some flashy stuff on here with an emphasis on sparkly numbers with jewels and sequins with a few celeb favourites such as Lamis Khamis, which is a hit with a few of the cast on this seasons The Only way is Essex and Paris Hilton is a big fan too. I recently got myself one of the Lamis Khamis Joker t-shirts in the sale.
